I have been a residential and commercial construction inspector working with Northwest Monitoring for 5 years and have thoroughly enjoyed not only the work but working with the NWM staff. They are professional, responsive and fun to work with and I have developed some wonderful relationships with several of them. I am looking forward to continuing my relationship with the NWM team.
I have been partnering with Northwest Monitoring since 2021. This relationship has provided valuable industry insight while supplementing my retirement income. The inspection pace allows me to work around my schedule, and the NWM staff is proactive and supportive. Seeing different construction projects, from single-family homes to large complexes, has been educational. Despite the Florida weather challenges, this partnership has been rewarding, and I look forward to continuing it for years to come.
I live in a remote town and was put in contact with NWM for local building projects. It couldn’t be going smoother. We agreed to terms and all has been very well on my end. The Pruvan app is very easy to use and super helpful. NWM provides excellent guides on how to do the job in various circumstances. It’s a simple gig that pays well for the time and effort investment. I would highly recommend. Currently it’s a little side gig. But I would be thrilled to go full time.
Partnering with NWM has been an exceptional experience from start to finish. Their team's professionalism, expertise, and dedication to client success have set a new standard in our industry. From the initial consultation, it was clear that NWM is committed to understanding our and the customer’s unique needs and goals. Great organization!
I enjoy working as a Draw Inspector for NWM. The staff is always helpful if and when I have questions. NWM uses an app that is very user friendly. The communication is great!

NWM partners with lenders all across the country and supports their lending service with draw inspections. We handle both commercial & residential. You are responsible for assessing the progress of construction projects. We then ensure that the funds are released in accordance with the completion of specific items &/or stages of construction.
No, it is completely free to join our network. We have hundreds of inspectors all across the United States. We pride ourselves in hiring the best of the best. We identify and select consultants based on the scope of work and area needing to be serviced. Typically, inspections are monthly; however, that is subject to change and fully based on the needs and requests by NWM.
We ask that you document progress through photos and verify that the work outlined in a draw request has been completed before funds are disbursed. You will be responsible for inspecting the site, reviewing documentation (if necessary), and taking photos through our app. At times, there may be a small narrative required. However, typically, we only assign photo only inspections.
Yes, most of our jobs are assigned to our inspectors through the app. The app is where you will find the address, project details, notes and more. All of the photos you take are taken through the app and uploaded in real time to our report writers. When the photos are published on site you do not need to do anything once you leave the inspection.
The number of inspections assigned to consultants each month depends on the location and how many requests our lenders send in. On average our inspectors can estimate anywhere from one to five inspections per month but will vary month to month depending on your location. Again, the number of inspections can never be guaranteed. Inspectors can expect most of their inspections to take place during the beginning or end of the month.
The amount of time spent onsite depends on the size of the inspection, what phase the inspection is in, and what the inspection consists of. The best way to estimate time onsite would be to go through the inspection project yourself or with our support team before the due date to see what is required for the project and how large the site is.
Yes. This is a 1099 independent contractor role, meaning you are self-employed and not a W-2 employee. You’ll have the flexibility to accept inspections that fit your schedule and are responsible for managing your own taxes and business expenses.
NWM is always looking for talented individuals to partner with. We recruit when we have an inspection request in a new city that currently does not have an inspector. Our team will reach out to applicants once a project need pops up in your area.
Payments are issued via direct deposit after your inspection photos and reports have been submitted and approved. Please allow approximately 2–3 weeks from the time of submission for payment to be processed.
Certifications and licenses are not required for this role. However, prior experience or exposure to the construction industry is a strong advantage and will help you succeed in this position.
We aim to assign inspections within a 25-mile radius of your home or business address whenever possible. Occasionally, opportunities may be slightly farther. You’ll always have the option to accept assignments based on your availability and travel preferences.
